Amarok 2
It's been no great reputation in the trade press (us included). We talked about the release of Amarok 2 (Dec. 10), certainly a leader in Linux management and music playback.
Besides a new graphical interface based on Qt4 has given better support services such as Magnatune, Jamendo, MP3tunes, Last.fm and Shoutcast, also will be now easy to create plugins for Amarok 2.
The adoption of Qt4 will allow easier porting Amarok to other systems, versions for Windows and MacOS are under development.

A great player, as an application concerning Linux and wanting to break into other architectures such as Mac OS X or Windows. No doubt they will test it thoroughly to see that this is new. At first it seems quite promising.
The only drawback I see is that KDE dependency has increased considerably compared to the previous version which is going to lose popularity in distributions that traditionally choose a Gnome desktop like Ubuntu or Fedora. Keep in mind that the competition is tough with applications like Banshee, Exaile, Rhythmbox, Songbird ... not to mention what is going to find in Windows or Mac, Windows Media Player, iTunes, Winamp, etc..
What do you think of Amarok 2?
