Change is not innocent. The login screen of the Chrome OS will move to our browser and it is this gesture, in this movement, where we see the real challenge google operating system.

Why is this change important to the browser? Simple. Because the browser can make use of the cloud, and our experience with the computer becomes a virtual experience with our machine, ie, we have everything all the time, no matter what physical machine we are.

But also for this step much more immediate aims: to compete with Facebook Connect, an identification system with great success and that allows others to have a way of identifying users and use this information for various applications. Read more

Chrome OS is the name that Google has introduced its first operating system for netbooks market.

Chrome OS is designed for use mainly in network applications, exploiting the Chrome browser and the extensive software that Google already has in that market. This is a Linux-based operating system, but with a window manager's own production. It is also known to be released for both i386 and ARM processors.

They hope to release it for the second half of 2010.
