Qt 4.5

In the beginning (1994) was Trolltech and graphics libraries and expanded the possibilities of free Unix GNU / Linux. Nokia has announced the availability of open source QT 4.5 (apart paradox is to promote open source SymbianOS to compete in the always open and always open Linux KDE complainant of the QT, nothing prevents it by the way). The novelty is that the name is converted to QtDesigner Qt Creator IDE into a very modern 1.0 SDK that supports WebKit, Flash, JScript engine and launches a new framework for improving Cocoa development on Mac OS X. Interoperability and integration with KDevelop will be news from my user experience in a few weeks.

Stuart Parkin, a former developer for IBM hard disk, goes after a memory chip with a storage capacity of magnetic hard disk, the durability of electronic flash memory, and faster than both: technology called "memory circuit ". He claims that the current limiting are two-dimensional structures and proposes the use of nanowires (not read Bill Joy as Kurzweil has read a lot of fears but Kazcinsky) magnetic contiguous three-dimensional framework, if successful, the current perpendicular recording Hitachi and WD remain in the museum of International Business Machines developments. The device handle 100 times more data in the same area as NAND Flash uses transistors, fast as RAM. Now everything depends on the material used for the nanowire comes after this time of wire-less ... and there will be petabytes of holography.

This size will be achieved thanks to the 43nm manufacturing technology, which allows the production of memory chips smaller than current techniques. The chips are based on MLC flash and used in the full range of Toshiba SSDs in both 2.5 "and in the 1.8" (capacities go from 64 to 512 GB).

Toshiba announces a life of more than 100 years (one million hours of use) and a data transfer rate 200 MB / s write and 240 MB / s read.

It will go on sale in mid-2009. Toshiba expects that a quarter of all laptops sold in the years 2012 with SSDs.

A few days ago Adobe released on Adobe Labs that had released the first Alpha of Flash Player 10 for Linux 64 bit. This is the first downloadable version of this software for the x86_64 platform, a highly anticipated news because until now those who wish to use this software from Adobe should make use of emulation layers or a mixed installation if you are using a 64 bit distribution .

Moreover Adobe says Flash is also developing for Solaris x86 and Solaris Sparc.

Many people do not migrate to Linux for lack of Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop among other programs. But long ago that the compatibility of Linux with Wine with these programs is complete.

Personally I have installed Photoshop and Dreamweaver in Linux Mint , with an equal or better performance than that obtained in windows.

As proof that video of the user "jrsebal" in which you can see, how they work equally well Dreaweaver as the fantastic Flash Linux Mint.
