Of the Westmere family of III
Intel Gulftown X6 is appearing in the market for motherboards with socket LGA 1366 Core i7 and there as the 980X, it does so without any integrated GPU and the hackneyed HyperThreading which makes 12 threads where there are only 6 strands of code to spread the workload between 6 and 6 real cores virtual cores. Of superior performance compared to the Phenom II X6 and although both use similar solutions to overclock type Turbo Boost processing data and instructions in a recortadísimo time even outperform Xeon Nehalem. Rather than the Gulftown processors are home to dedicated servers to work: scores of virtual machines or huge databases while they dedicate a core to signal processing for web streaming.
