It appears that unless some cataclysm or other mishap of magnitude, tomorrow will be released version 5.0 of Debian with numerous changes. As discussed have paid special attention to security (vulnerabilities, patches, less executable UID, etc) will enjoy more than updated packages (KDE 3.5.9, OpenOffice 2.4.1, Samba 3.2.5, etc). Tomorrow is a big day for fans of this legendary distribution.

  2. Debian only takes x.0 versions you can use without fear :) Well, only they have beta versions you can use with confidence! Good for Debian and OS work for a stable and quality.

  4. Yes, have spent years doing a commendable job, plus the fact three branches offer a variety of purposes that anyone does find what you want in a distribution. Debian has always been high on the list of the most used and something will be. A reference, congratulations to all who make it possible.
