Nuevas posibilidades para el WebOS de Palm

New possibilities for Palm WebOS

The bustle of buying and selling rare cases often present and extremely interesting. As if the imaginary ghost of the famous invisible hand come to life in certain ephemeral outbreaks. We know that today is almost no competition between companies. And yet there are still phenomena that allow envisions new horizons. For example, the case of Hewlett-Packard and Palm.

Paradoxically, the recent acquisition of Palm by Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) led the market diversification of systems operating , expanding competition. Let us explain this nice case. First of all, the immediate consequence that can be deduced from the movement of adhesion between two companies is that HP will from now on with the WebOS, released a while ago with the Palm Pre. So that with this acquisition, HP gives you the opportunity-in the form of tablets, telefónicosy resources to this operating system to position itself in a higher place in the hierarchy of competitors. So Palm HP boost to be in line with a Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

What impact does all this tangle commercial? In principle we see that if two companies join the economic trend leads to a concentration of supply. For HP and Palm evidence that the acquisition of patents between companies may also stimulate the market to provide lower prices for consumers. In this sense we must interpret the strategic acquisition of Palm by HP. A purchase does not work but as a lever to push for an operating system that otherwise would have been appeased by the iPhone OS (Apple) and Android (Google).

  2. Rumors have begun to emerge that the next tablet "Slate" HP take a derivative of WebOS. It seems that HP are not very happy with the performance of Windows 7. I think what really attracts HP is the new software in the emerging high-end teléfonosde iPad now, built stores in lines, something that is already well integrated into the phone from Palm.
