Micros with a hundred nuclei

The Californian company level up its line of high performance microprocessors increasing their power while reducing energy consumption. The third-generation microprocessors Tilera TILE-Gx, and come after Tile64 Tile32Pro and can incorporate 16, 36, 64 and 100 centers offering energy efficiency "ten times the Westmere", the next generation of Intel processors. They will be manufactured by the leading global foundry, TSMC, under 40-nanometer process technology and its commercialization is expected in late 2010.

Tilera solution has RISC architecture, you can equip up to 100 processing cores, each with frequencies up to 1.5 GHz and a variable intake from 10 to 55 watts. The Tile-Gx have instructions and SIMD 64-bit extended, 32 KB L1 cache I-cache, 32 KB L1 D cache, 256 KB L2 cache and 26 Mbytes total third-level cache. Integrate two or four memory controllers for DDR3 memory 72 bits at speeds of 2,133 MHz and supports ECC for a total of one terabyte. Tilera The new solution would be available late next year.

The truth is that it is surprising to see an announcement like this from a company that was unknown to me.
Anyway really until no evidence spec.org really will not know until you can go.
