OpenSolaris 2010.03 is delayed
Oracle no hurry to bring the public the new release of Sun's Unix built for years and then released in source code and specifications. Oracle does not contribute to open source or sponsor as Sun Microsystems and good lord protected and promoted. Simon Phipps has said goodbye to Larry Ellison's company after 5 years of Chief Open Source Officer. The consequences of the merger acquisition behave as instructed causes: possession of an innovative company was profitable but not as mandated by the financial market and destroy everything that is not quickly convertible into bullion software hard cash.

The EU did not stop in time Oracle Fusion phagocytes as nothing better can be done to adjust the levels of life of European citizens for the iron corset of € uro continue to exist in the Commonwealth designed by the Anglo-Dutch Empire, the central administration in Brussels and the ECB, based in Germany (which has to rescue Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and other fault lines and systemic)
Really a pity that Sun was a company that really was taking a very open policy. Finally, projects that are now free as openoffice, solaris openjdk or marked a new direction. They also released the first enterprise-level free CPU, Niagara processors.
As with the purchase by Oracle, I have no Opensolaris is clear that the great question.
Although the EU said they would maintain the community-based development for a few years, I fear more for mysql.
I do not mean a hunch or anything, really just need to see what happened to OnniDB to know what can happen.
After the purchase of Oracle did not turn to see a new free version, just OnniDB Pro (paying, of course).
