Skepticism remains about Windows 7
A few days ago Mark Shuttleworth (Canonical visible head) commented that Windows 7 is another opportunity for Linux. For new users it will not be as interested in being able to use Microsoft Office and can connect to a social network [...] the business model is changing.
Although so far the feedback on Windows 7 as shown by better product than Vista, today has published a survey about the intentions of the companies with the upcoming Microsoft operating system, shows that the adoption of Windows 7 will be slow.
According to data from 1100 companies, 17% will adopt during the first year, 42% plans to wait at least one year and 24% expect at least two before switching. The bad experiences with Vista seem to blame for this mistrust.
Can we expect a better reception to Windows 7 than Vista?
Despite the "no success" of Vista, Linux adoption is still very limited, focusing more on the growth of MacOS. Will the same with Windows 7?
17% of respondents did not answer about any plan to upgrade to Windows 7. You are looking for alternatives to Windows?

"You are looking for alternatives to Windows?"
Well the same study shows that 50% is evaluated alternatives, that's almost twice last year.
When companies switch to Windows 7 does not depend on when they plan to change, if not naive when Microsoft will force these companies to change, either not updating Windows XP, not solving a big problem, or even introducing themselves a failure.
For example, when Microsoft introduced Windows Vista came out a fault remotely on computers with Windows XP, even those in which users had disabled automatic updates, and computers with Windows XP could not updated when repaired.

The problem is "commercial" .... the adoption of systems not substitutes for windows and mac lies simply in the lack of support from most programs that are used commercially (adobe and its tools, corel, etc, not to mention gaming companies, although it seems that these last starting to perk up a bit ...) ... bone no longer a question of whether the OS is the bomb as well as their "desktops" (ie the new kde4 desktop looks like me ..) it is in most cases lack of commercial support .... and that ... that gentlemen, is painful jajaajaj ;) ... greetings to all!

Windows is prfff
Mac OS is simple, you pay for something that is well done.
Linux is free software but it is not easy to handle. I think that is due in large part to the support of Hardwar. If countries do require the use of Linux systems in public institutions have a high demand for equipment from the beginning have made drivers for Linux and is the only possibility that came to the common user linux, I think.
I is that Microsoft did not think anything. For sample a button, I pass an old Microsoft link promoting Longhorn (later to be called Vista).

I wonder where they were half of the features will do the Windows 7 or deferred to the 15?
Well, I think this coupled with the economic crisis that is affecting all countries are positive factors for free software in general. SMEs are becoming more interested in installing free software systems com part of the cost reduction plan is one thing. On the other hand, users are becoming more accustomed to using their laptops linux distros, but keep windows on their desktops.
Yet who else is MAC desktop is growing and will continue I think. It has won many points with the iPod, MacBook, iMac and iPhone that has become almost a standard for those who want to use your phone to surf the internet. As data in China more time surfing the mobile to the PC, and here that trend will eventually reach the flat rates.
Windows 7 has a better image than seen, but people today are more open to change, and now has the advantage of drivers. Still has many shortcomings in this respect and many peripherals do not work with windows 7.
