Python and Perl break with the past
Last week two news about these two high-level languages, both concerning a matter of backward compatibility.
On the one hand has just been released Python 3 , a new version that is incompatible with the 2.x versions of language changes in libraries and because some features are no longer available.
Moreover Perl 6 developers have confirmed that version is not compatible with earlier versions . The goal is to make the language more readable removed some options, but does not stop there Larry Wall, Perl 6 for want of multiple languages in one, with a standard base and the possibility of using "dialects" that fit each type of controller .
Well, you see these two classics have thought that "fresh start" was best to avoid ballast.
