Could do some comparison between AppArmor and SELinux on this blog, secure systems that is said or insurance could be TrustedBSD SEDarwin, another comparison to be made in next entry is promised.
Now, if what they were promised mentors of solidity, robustness and integration paravirt, if that promise is a system that does not fall, then we are talking about QubesOS .

Monolithic system kernel but decomposable into multiple virtual boxes, all while interlaced independent. Paravirtualization and hardware resources INTENDING towering jump-start the complexity of a system of high uptime
as FreeBSD (monolithic) or Darwin (hybrid) or extremely stable as they have trying to design systems with microkernel with mixed results. Qubes were a modularized implementation XEN hypervisor that user space and ServiceVMs AppVMs (services): the X graphics subsystem would be nothing more than a virtual machine with IOMMU / VT-d is isolated module / armored domain0 to set of processes parts and networking protocols, it is sandbox storage section, the audio subsystem, and so on. All message passing between the parties and the copy and paste function transparent as if it were a compact piece of software.

  2. Certainly an interesting line of research. It looks that the great challenge of this structure is to maintain communication between applications. I have curiosity to know as they have done work at D-BUS.

Qubes you think of secure, robust where it flanks? ...
